Delia Baseman - Lead Mentor

Delia grew up on an organic vegetable farm in western PA. One of 9 nature homeschooled children she was lucky to spend her early years playing outside when she wasn’t working as a professional child actor. After moving to NYC as a teenager she graduated from circle in the square theater conservatory in drama and playwriting. Delia went on to tour all over the US in numerous plays and to teach playwriting and performance art in NYC, Chicago, and Los Angeles schools as a teaching artist. Her early love of nature and belief in the power of outdoor play inspired her to train and work for tinkergarten, a national organization that brings outdoor play to toddlers and their families. Delia is a former Mentor at Everwild, as well as program assistant here at Honeybee and a freelance art teacher. You can also still find her performing Shakespeare, acting in films, teaching music, moonlighting as a costume designer and spending long hours collecting acorns with her 7 year old.
